Huntington's DiseaseHuntington’s disease is a congenital disorder that results in a defective chromosome four. Most patients live many years without even being aware of the condition, as it typically does not exhibit any symptoms. Most patients with Huntington’s disease first become aware that they have the disease in their 40s or 50s. With each generation that inherits the defective gene, there is an increased chance of exhibiting Huntington’s disease symptoms early on in life. The most common symptoms of the condition are seizures, anxiety, and depression. For patients with Huntington’s disease, marijuana use may be beneficial for controlling some of the symptoms.
