Whiplash is a medical condition that is primarily caused by a sudden forward and then backward jerking action of the head. It most commonly occurs as a result of a vehicular accident, and it can cause a great deal of pain and discomfort. Apart from the pain directly associated with the condition, whiplash can also result in a number of secondary conditions including difficulty in sleeping, memory loss, dizzy spells, and even depression.
Treatment for whiplash commonly involves physical therapy along with medication. As an alternative to over-the-counter pain relief medications, marijuana may actually be more beneficial.
